EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- Both lanes of Interstate 74 near the Pinecrest Exit in East Peoria are open after a two car crash early Friday morning.

Illinois State and East Peoria police responded to the crash just before 2 a.m.

Police say 32-year-old Amy Cox of Lincoln was speeding while driving eastbound, when she rear ended a jeep driven by 48-year-old Lisa Lucas of Metamora.

Lucas's jeep ended up flipping over the median cable wires, and landed in the westbound lanes.

Both Lucas and Cox were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Cox is charged with speeding and DUI.

Eastbound Interstate 74 was closed for two hours as crews cleaned up the debris.
