HUDSON, Ill. -- According to the Pantagraph, two traffic tickets issued against the driver of a semitrailer truck that struck and killed a Hudson firefighter have been dismissed.

Firefighter Chris Brown died following the collision involving the trailer and a fire truck on Interstate 36 March 6th. Five other people were injured.

Prosecutors asked the judge to dismiss the current charges because the investigation into the crash is still continuing.

The driver, Mansu Shakirov of Spokane, Washington, was charged with driving too fast for conditions and a violation of Scott's Law.
