Washington Fire Board and Chief agree to work together on solution

WASHINGTON, Ill. -- Washington Fire Department officials say the two remaining Fire Board members Brian Barron and Regina Slonneger as well as the Washington Fire Chief have agreed to work together on a solution.

Chief Vaughn tells News 25 all three want what's best for the community.

The Washington Fire Department's news release sent to News 25 Friday afternoon states: "The members of the Washington Fire Department Board of Directors and the Fire Chief have agreed that there are some differences in philosophies that need to be addressed. The Board Members and Chief Vaughn have agreed to work together to come to a solution for the betterment of the Department and the community."

Washington fire officials say we can expect more information come Monday.
