Residents throughout central Illinois are preparing for the worst before the predicted snow storm.
Inside the Kroger store in Washington, it looks like the day before a holiday.
A manager says customers lined up outside before the doors opened at six o'clock Monday morning.
Area residents are stocking up on staples like bread and milk just in case they can't get out after the snow hits.
"Stormy weather they say we are going to get. I'm going to get prepared in case I get snow bound," said Washington resident Bob Wiese.
"I'm taking it very seriously," said customer Janet Richard. "And I know our block, the power goes out every time we have an ice storm or a heavy snowstorm. So yes, I'm expecting the worst," she said.
One employee at Kroger said they are concerned about re-supply trucks making it into the area at mid-week.
