Peoria man indicted in homicide

PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria man has been indicted on murder charges in the shooting death of Derrick Booth Jr.

Sean Walls faces two counts of first degree murder.

Walls turned himself into police two days after being identified as the suspect in the May 24 shooting on South Greenlawn.

Derrick Booth Jr. was the son of Manual High School boys basketball coach Derrick Booth Sr.and Mecca Beasely, and the stepson of state representative Jehan Gordon-Booth.
