Over 100 local farmers who had grain in a now defunct Fulton County ethanol plant will get their money back.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture is giving six million dollars to farmers who lost grain in the closure of Central Illinois Grain Company in December.
Those checks will go out over the next few weeks.
The grain company was located near Canton.
The state shut it down and seized the crops it had in storage after suspending the company's license.
The Agriculture Department says 126 farmers filed claims for lost grain.
