PEORIA, Ill. -- A Caterpillar vice president will be stepping down from his position.
Richard Case, vice president with responsibility for the Marine & Petroleum Power Division, elected to resign from Caterpillar in order to pursue other opportunities.
Gerard Vittecoq, Caterpillar group president with responsibility for Energy and Power Systems, congratulated Case on his successful career with the company.
"I want to thank Richard for his valued contributions to Caterpillar, where the majority of his 14-year career was spent in our engine business," said Vittecoq. "We wish Richard well in his new endeavors."
Filling Case's shoes will be Tom Frake, who was appointed by the Cat board of directors. Frake is currently a worldwide product manager for hydraulic excavators in Singapore.
"Tom has the kind of deep expertise and wide ranging global experience in marketing and dealer and product development that, along with his proven track record, makes him an ideal candidate to lead our growing marine and petroleum engine business," said Vittecoq.
Frake will begin April 1, 2012.
