Caterpillar has rolled out a refined design for one of its most popular heavy equipment models.
Since 1986, the Cat D11T and D11T Carrydozer have set industry standards in productivity, durability, and safety. Now, Caterpillar says the new designs expand on these ideals and more.
The company says the new D11T engines have been configured to meet U.S. EPA emissions standards, as it now uses a specialized process to lower the amount of exhaust gasses emitted.
Additionally, the model uses less power, ultimately reducing fuel consumption and lowering sound levels.
Cat also says extensive safety measures have been installed, including an operator-presence system that guards against unintentional machine movement.
