State and city officials will gather this Friday to discuss a new investment for the East Peoria Caterpillar facility.
Cat officials say they will be annoucing a multi-phase modernization plan to the company's undercarriage components.
Among those expected to attend are Stu Levenick, Group President, Caterpillar Customer and Dealer Support, United States Congressman Aaron Schock, East Peoria Mayor Dave Mingus, and Rick Swan, Executive Director of the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce.
The press conference will be held in Caterpillar Building BB in East Peoria.
