The world leader manufacturer of construction and mining equipment says it will be working with Jewell Attachments, LLC to develop a new, exclusive Ultra High Demolition excavator.
Three new UHD excavators-- APEX 50, APEX 70, and APEX 100-- will use a Caterpillar manufactured structure and undercarriage combined with Jewell UHD fronts, cab-guarding package, and Demolition Control System.
Caterpillar says it selected Jewel from a pool of potential partners, but eventually chose the company for its outstanding industry designs and array of features in high demand with Caterpillar customers.
APEX 70 is now available and the APEX 100 and APEX 50 will be released in the first and third quarters of 2012.
