A new diesel generator model has been released from Caterpillar, Inc.

Caterpillar says the latest design is certified to meet United States EPA Tier 4 Interim standards.

The Cat 3516C-HD diesel generator offers highly efficient fuel consumption and lower power emissions.

"This is the first diesel generator set producing more than 2MW that has been certified by the EPA," said Robert Koval, global product director of Caterpillar electric Power Division.  "Our emergency standby customers will also realize benefits with this gen-set, particularly in areas with especially stringent local standards."

Caterpillar offers the widest range of Tier 4 Interim certified generator sets in the industry.
