Caterpillar, along with Cat dealer Ring Power, has signed an agreement with Jacksonville, Florida-based APR Energy to develop temporary power solutions in a global setting.
Announced Thursday, the five-year agreement will focus on meeting the needs of growing international power projects, most notably in emerging markets.
"We are pleased to be working with Ring Power and APR Energy as we expand our growth in the international power projects business," said Bill Rohner, Caterpillar vice president with responsibility for electric power. "APR's experience in temporary power solutions, Caterpillar's engineering and product expertise and Ring Power's rental experience will enable us to better serve our customers."
Under the agreement, Ring Power will provide application, engineering, sales, and product support to APR Energy while Caterpillar is set to supply mobile generator sets for the international power projects market.
