WASHINGTON, D. C. -- U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D) says he is very disappointed with Caterpillar's recent decision to not re-locate a manufacturing plant to Illinois. Caterpillar has pointed to the unfriendly business climate in Illinois, with high corporate and income taxes. Senator Durbin says he wants to sit down with Cat management to figure how to better work with them in the future. "We need to make sure that as Caterpillar grows that Illinois is a viable option for future productions," says Durbin. Durbin adds this should be a wake-up call for all Illinois lawmakers.
