Aaron Schock prepares for the November general election

PEORIA, Ill. -- Congressman Aaron Schock ran unopposed in Tuesday's primary election.

The Republican said that he will continue to serve the people of his district and looks forward to the November 4 general election.

“It’s an honor to represent my fellow Illinoisans in the United States House of Representatives. I look forward to continuing to serve every person in the 18th Congressional District, and I will continue working to advance policies that create jobs, increase economic opportunities for everyone, and put our government on a more sustainable fiscal path," Schock said in a statement

In 2012, Schock was reelected after winning 74 percent of the total vote.
