Henry and Knox county voters reject sales tax increase for public safety

CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- Voters in Henry and Knox counties rejected referendums that would have increased sales tax.

In Knox County, voters were asked to approve a .25-percent sales tax increase for public safety. In Henry County, it was .5-percent. An overwhelming number of voters in both counties said no.
