EL PASO, Ill. -- El Paso-Gridley School District 11 asked voters for $18,250,000 for school building bonds.

They voted down the referendum with 61-percent of voters casting a no ballot.

The building bonds would have replaced an expiring bond and not increased property taxes.

In Princeville, voters approved $8,250,000 in school building bonds.

The district plans on using the money to revamp the school's electric system, replace the outdated science room, rebuild and repair the roofs, ceilings, floors and more.
