America has been buzzing since last weekend about the poise of the new Miss America.
17-year-old Teresa Scanlan was crowned Saturday night, the youngest Miss America in 70 years.
And her biggest fan may be right here in central Illinois. Scanlan's aunt Amie Yaniak lives in Washington.
But Aunt Amie was in Las Vegas over the weekend for the pageant and got a chance to congratulate her niece afterwards.
"She asked me...she said, 'Did I do anything I could improve on?' So she is so humble and she just knows. I really was shocked by that. Because I said, ' Teresa, you won Miss America! You did perfect. There's nothing you could do different," said Yaniak.
Teresa Scanlan is the first Miss Nebraska to ever become Miss America. She grew up in a small town in Nebraska.
