There is an upcoming Medical Cannabis Educational event at Five Points Washington. It discusses CBD, Medical Cannabis and the new law in Illinois.

The Frederick family sat down with News 25's Ashley McNamee to discuss how changing Illinois' medical marijuana law could help their daughter. Michaela, 2, suffers from Cerebral Palsy and has up to 50 seizures a day, while taking psychoactive drugs. Her parents, Adam and Kristy, believe the CBD component of the drug could help her seizures. CBD is a non psychoactive component of the plant that is being extracted to treat epileptic seizures in children and PTSD in veterans in other states.

An educational forum will is coming up to discuss the law:

Date: Monday Dec. 9th 2013 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
