14-year-old boy pleads guilty to killing his mother

According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, a 14-year-old Michigan boy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Monday in connection with the February shooting death of his mother.

Police said the boy shot his mother while she was sleeping, according to the Free Press report. He is expected to be sentenced to between 27 and 52 years in prison, according to the Free Press report.
