BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The driver is in jail in connection with a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning in downtown Bloomington.
Police say 21-year-old Lauren Leffler and another pedestrian were hit by a car driven by 23-year-old Katie Lawson.
The accident leaves Leffler brain dead at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Lawson faces multiple charges-- including three felony counts of aggravated DUI and driving on a suspended license.
A bond hearing is set for July 3rd.
An autopsy for Leffler is scheduled for Tuesday following organ donation.
The name of the other pedestrian hit has not been released.
