Suspect arrested in gas station robbery

PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria police say they believe they have arrested the man who robbed a Marathon gas station three times and tried for a fourth time Wednesday night.

Police are linking Jerry Johnson, 36, to all four robberies at
the Marathon Gas Station in the 3000 block of Knoxville.

It had been robbed Friday, Sunday and Monday, all by a man wearing a mask and wielding a knife.

Police have been watching the gas station all week.

At around 8 p.m. Wednesday, a man with a mask and knife robbed the station.

This time, police swooped in and busted arrested the man, later identified as Johnson.
