3 Illinoisians recieve Presidential Medals of Freedom

WASHINGTON, DC -- Three Illinoisans were among the recipients of the Pesidential Medal of Freedom.

Mr. Cub Erie Banks was awarded the nation's highest civilian honor during a ceremony at the White House Wednesday

TV icon Oprah Winfrey also received the prestigious honor.

Central Illinois native Reverend C.T. Vivian was honored as well.
Vivian, who was one of Dr. Martin Luther King's advisors, was just in Peoria this past weekend at the NAACP annual dinner.
