PEORIA, Ill.-- Dozens of anti-abortion advocates lent their support to the Peoria Catholic Diocese with a weekend event.

The 32nd annual Respect Life dinner was helped raise money for the new location of the Family resources center in Peoria.

Organizers say the center offers various services, and counseling opportunities.

Keynote speaker David Andrusko says teens who oppose abortion are inspirational to older generations.

“The youth of America are so pro-life and that makes the rest of us who are not quite so young anymore really enthusiastic and expectant about a good future," Andrusko said.

Andrusko says having a good base of resources in a community is important to the national "Right to Life" movement.
