There was fun for all ages during the second annual Family Fest at the Peoria Civic Center Saturday. Family Fest 2009 is a community event featuring 45-thousand square feet of interactive fun for everyone.

The event presented by the Children's Hospital of Illinois has activities that are both fun and educational for the entire family.

"Our sole goal in this is to give people a time in the middle of winter to get their kids out of the house, run them around. You know you can have a good time. It's cold outside, but it's nice and warm in here and there's a lot of fun to do," Event Organizer Tom Beisel says.

You could find kids bouncing around in the inflatables or taking each other on in a Guitar Hero Challenge.

And besides walking between the fun exhibits, you could take a crack going up the indoor Rock Climbing Wall. If that wasn't fun enough, the event also featured great door prizes and giveaways.
