13 Year Old Robs Bank

A 13 year old boy was taken into custody Monday after allegedly robbing a Peoria bank.

The boy–whose name is not being released–is accused of robbing the Southside Bank's main office in the 21–hundred block of South Adams Street.

Police said the boy was armed with a semi–automatic handgun, and took an undetermined amount of cash.

An exploding dye–pack was given to the robber, according to police, and it went off –staining the cash and the robber.

Police found the 13 year old hiding in a garage in the 900 block of South Louisa. The money was recovered by police.
