The passenger from an accident over the weekend has passed away.

The Peoria County Coroner says 18-year-old Ashlyn Payne was pronounced brain dead early Tuesday morning and her organ donation was completed Wednesday morning.

Payne was the passenger in Jamie Duhs' car Saturday night when it crashed near North Route 29 and Route 6.

The coroner says a Peoria County Sheriff's Deputy had been pursuing Duhs' car, but the pursuit was terminated before the accident.

The coroner says when Payne arrived at the hospital, her blood alcohol level was more than double the legal limit and there was marijuana in her system.

Duhs is still in fair condition at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

She has been charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and fleeing and eluding a police officer.
