A seven car accident on Interstate 74 in Peoria Thursday left two people injured.

State Police say 37 year old Zhao Peng got off on the Adams street exit around 3:15PM then turned around and went back up the exit ramp the wrong way.

Officers say he hit a truck and that caused a major traffic jam on I-74 during heavy rain.

The back-up caused another five car accident on the Murray Baker Bridge.

Peng and another driver were ticketed.

Two people from the second accident were taken to OSF St. Francis medical center.
