The Illinois Lawsuit Abuse Watch organization, or I-LAW, was in Peoria today to team up with local doctors about the medical malpractice reform law.

The group says they are joining forces to try inform the public about the "outrageous" actions of the Illinois Supreme Court.

In particular... the actions of a local judge who sided with personal injury lawyers, striking down the state's medical malpractice reform law.

I-LAW Executive Director Travis Akin says there are several ways to learn more.

I-LAW Executive Director Travis Akin says, "Talk to their co-workers about this issue. Make the idea of judicial reform, lawsuit reform a topic of conversation that's important. If people don't take this issue seriously then the elected officials won't."
