TAMPA, Fla. -- "Fear and division is all they've got left."
That's Representative Paul Ryan's take on the Democrat's platform going into the November election.
Ryan addressed the Republican National Convention Wednesday night.
For Congressman Aaron Schock, hearing from Ryan was a highlight.
"The great thing about Paul is that he is a very detailed person," Schock said. "Deep in policy, I think that is one of the reasons Mitt chose him, for his depth of knowledge. But also as a man of action, someone who not only has put together a budget but passed it."
Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, has been calling for deep cuts in tax rates and federal spending for years.
Earlier atendees heard from Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, as well as former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will deliver his speech Thursday night.
