PEORIA, Ill. -- Another candidate for the Peoria City Council is facing a challenge over his petition.
The challenge states that Dan Adler, who is running in the fifth district, did not get his petitions notarized.
Adler responded saying to the best of his understanding of the election code, he met all the requirements for filing.
Adler says he will participate in the electoral board proceedings and, if he has to, will explore a write-in candidacy.
First District Candidate Gary Sandberg also faces a challenge; his is in regards to his residency within the district.
