COLLINSVILLE, Ill. -- There's even more of a reason to go green when it comes to paying your Ameren bill.
Ameren Illinois says if 10,000 customers enroll in eBill paperless billing, the company will provide $20,000 toward the Energy Assistance Foundation's Warm Neighbors Cool Friends program.
That program assists senior citizens and families in need with paying winter heating bills as well as home weatherization assistance.
“This special opportunity will give the Energy Assistance Foundation extra funds to provide heating assistance this winter,” said Ameren Illinois President and CEO Richard Mark. “At the same time, eBill gives Ameren Illinois customers greater convenience while reducing paper.”
There is no cost to enroll in eBill. Customers need only to visit this website –
AmerenIllinois.com/eBill – to join the program or call 1-800-755-5000.
