PEORIA, Ill -- An overnight shooting at a troubled Peoria apartment complex.. leaves one man wounded.
Around 2:15 Saturday morning, Peoria police received a call of shots fired in front of 117 North Village Green, at the Village green apartment complex.
Officers arrived to find the victim had been transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
Authorities later pulled that vehicle over near Adams and Kumpf.
Inside they found 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the back.
Authorities say he was taken by ambulance to OSF St. Francis Medical center with non life threatening injuries.
Police are not releasing the victim's name.
They have no suspects at this time.
