PEORIA, Ill. -- Golfers are taking a swing for District 150 students.
Monday, more than 100 golfers hit the links for the Peoria Public Schools Foundation's 15th annual golf outing at Peoria Country Club.
Money raised from the event will fund classroom grants for district teachers.
"This last year we had a record number of grant applications. We had 111 and with our fundraising efforts we were able to grant 21," said President of the Peoria Public Schools Foundation Cindy Morris.
The Peoria Public Schools Foundation hopes to exceed last year's fundraising record of $40,000.
The golf event was followed with at dinner at 6:00 p.m.
