Authorities have made an arrest involving the fatal shooting on Bloomington's East side

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Authorities have arrested a man allegedly involved in a fatal shooting on the city's East side.

Bloomington police responded to 1101 Gettysburg Dr. just after 8:30 Tuesday night after neighbors reported hearing a gunshot. They located the victim, Aaron J. Robinson, 31, lying in a parking lot between the Gettysburg Dr. residence and 2203 Todd Dr.

Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsy results show he died of a gunshot wound to the back.

McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling said Robinson, formerly of Posen, had moved to Bloomington within the past six months and was residing in the Gettysburg residence.

Michael Anthony Jabari Mays was arrested Wednesday on charges of first degree murder, he is being held on $1 million bond.
