Autopsies released in Arrowsmith couple's deaths

ARROWSMITH, Ill. -- The parents of nine children who died in a car crash Sunday evening, died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries.

The driver, 52-year-old Eldon Kaeb and his 45-year-old wife, Stephanie were heading northbound on 3360 East, or Weston Road, preparing to cross Route 24 in Yates Township, when they failed to stop at a sign stop.

The couple's vehicle collided with an oncoming a semi tractor trailer.

The couple was pronounced dead at the scene.

McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling says although there is no evidence of drugs or alcohol, toxicology tests have been ordered.

A trust fund has been set up for the Kaebs' nine children, who range in from early 20s to about six years of age.
