PEORIA, Ill. -- Some of the best games have taken countless hours to perfect. But some Bradley students are out to prove that wrong.

They're tapping into their computer tech skills to develop a game from start to finish in just 48 hours. It's all part of the Global Game Jam.

Teams of three to five people can choose to do a board game, card game or video game. The catch is everyone has to use the same theme.

"For this weekend, we were given the Ouroboros, which is a snake that eats its own tail and it's got all sorts of mythological connotations with it, " said Rob Braun, a Global Game Jam participant. "So for this game, we're leaning toward more playing off the immortality aspects of it."

The Global Game Jam ends at 4 p.m. on Sunday. About 10,000 people in 45 countries are competing.
