BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Bloomington's Assistant Police Chief has been cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
Police Chief Randy McKinley says Assistant Chief Bob Wall was formally cited Friday afternoon with improper lane usage and leaving the scene.
McKinley says officers performed a field sobriety test at Wall's home, where he made the report of his accident.
Officers reported an odor of alcohol, but Wall passed the sobriety tests.
Accident reports show Wall was off duty when he hit a pole on Ireland Grove Road Wednesday evening.
The McLean County State's Attorney's office is reviewing the charges.
Wall remains on duty.
