A group of 50 children will appear in a talent show on Saturday.
Talent shows aren't normally newsworthy.
But when it raises more than five figures for a charity, it raises eyebrows too.
The 4the annual "Backyard Talent Show" held its final rehearsal this morning in Morton.
24 different acts will perform.
The show has already raised more than 26-thousand dollars for St. Jude's.
For one mom, the kids' enthusiasm is infectious in the community.
"All of their energy kind of overflows and bubbles over to all of the adults and the people around. This year, the Morton Tourism Association has gotten behind them. And with their support and that of the Morton Park district, we're able to have the show on the Idlewood Park stage, it's a really big deal," says Beth Geier, who calls herself the "Administrative Assistant Mom" for the show.
The Backyard talent show starts this Saturday at 6 P-M in Morton.
