BARTONVILLE, Ill. -- Multiple fire departments were called out to a Bartonville house fire early Monday afternoon.
Firefighters said when they arrived, the garage at 4207 South Lafayette Street was fully engulfed.
They said it took them about 20 minutes to get the flames under control.
The home belongs to the Bruce family, who had already evacuated when firefighters arrived.
"The hardest part was probably knocking down the amount of fire in the garage since there was a car and a couple propane cylinders that we had to keep under control to keep our guys safe while fighting the fire," said 1st Lieutenant of Bartonville Fire Department Drew Zachman.
There were no injuries to any civilians or fire personnel.
Authorities would not comment on the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation.
