EAST PEORIA, Ill -- A benefit was held on Sunday for the young man who was killed in an auto accident two years ago.

Garrett Mooberry died February 15th, 2011 after Joe Miller crashed head-on into Mooberry's truck on Route 17 in East Peoria.

Prosecutors said that Miller had a variety of drugs in his system, and got a six year prison sentence for reckless homicide.

The benefit was held at the Muller Drive golf driving range, and the purpose was to raise money for the Garrett Mooberry Memorial scholarship.

A scholarship will be awarded at W. IL University for an AG student from Tazewell, Woodford, or Peoria County.

The event was held from 3-7 p.m. and featured live music, golf, food, & drinks.
