PEKIN, Ill.-- After six and a half years, HOI-19 is proud to announce its one thousandth pet adoption through Best Friends Friday.
TAPS Director Holly Crotty said, "When people come into the shelter, they'll come in and say they saw this animal or that animal on Best Friends Friday."
Daybreak's Mark Welp and Gretchen Wirtz partnered with Pekin's TAPS no kill animal shelter back in 2006, showcasing three animals up for adoption every Friday morning.
"The fact that they have chosen us for the shelter of choice to do Best Friends Friday and promote our dogs and cats. We could not be more grateful for their assistance to help us adopt out so many animals," said Crotty.
