PEORIA, Ill -- A Peoria family is still looking for peace and justice one year after 8 year old Albert-Billups Wilson was murdered.
Saturday is the one year anniversary when Billups-Wilson was shot and killed during an apparent drive-by shooting at 1301 East Behrends Avenue.
The little boy's grandmother said police have yet to make any arrests in the case.
She pleads anyone with information to call Peoria Police, and more so, she asks for the violence in Peoria to stop.
"When you go to pull up a gun, when you go to pull up a knife, when you go to harm somebody think about what you're doing to their family. Think about your family as well. Ask yourself: 'Would you want anybody to do this to your family?'. Don't do it. Put it down," said Alma Billups.
The family is planning a remembrance ceremony Saturday at 1031 East Behrends starting at 4 p.m.
