NEW YORK, NY -- Research in Motion has renamed itself BlackBerry and has announced two new phones and an operating system designed to directly compete with Apple and Google.
BlackBerry 10 is a fully redesigned operating system that will be launching on the company's new touchscreen phones.
The new phones, the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10, were announced at a press event in New York City on Wednesday.
The company has been struggling since the Apple's iOS and Google's Android operating systems have taken over the smartphone market.
