Bloomington Police investigate Sunday morning shooting

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that injured a Bloomington man.

Officers responded to the 900 block of W. Front Street around 10:45 a.m. on a report of several shots fired. When they arrived, they found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was taken to an area hospital, treated and released.

Bloomington Police have not identified any suspects but witnesses told the Pantagraph they heard several shots in quick succession and saw a man getting into a passenger seat of a car and leave the scene.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call McLean County Crimestoppers at (309) 828-1111.
