HUDSON, Ill. -- A Bloomington man was killed in a single vehicle accident on Wednesday.

Authorities responded to the area of North Main Street and Ziebarth Road at 5:40 a.m. on a report of a motorcycle in a ditch.

A male victim was found at the scene. He has been identified as Brian L. Coone, 33, of Bloomington. He was pronounced dead at 6:50 a.m.

Autopsy results show Coone died as a result of multiple injuries of the head, neck and chest as the result of his motorcycle striking a pole. Forensic toxicology tests have been ordered.

Family members says they last saw him at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Evidence indicates that he was traveling north on Main Street when he left the roadway for an unknown reason, struck a pole, and came to rest in the ditch.

Although the victim was found at the crash site Wednesday morning; the incident is thought to have occurred several hours earlier.
