A 55-year-old homeless man is dead, and a suspect is in custody after Pekin Police found a body underneath the McNaughton Bridge Thursday night.
Michael C. Marshall was pronounced dead by Coroner Conover a few
minutes after the body was discovered under the Pekin bridge by a Pekin Police Officer.
An autopsy performed Friday by a forensic pathologist stated the victim
died of multiple blunt force trauma to the head and neck due to the assault.
An inquest will be scheduled at a later date by the Coroner.
