Body found in West Normal parking lot

NORMAL, Ill. -- Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a parking lot of Crossroads Center in west Normal on Monday.

The victim, Medhat ‘Mike’ Sadiku, was a 41-year-old resident of Normal.

McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling says his body was found close to his vehicle with no apparent signs of life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary cause of death is pending further studies, specifically toxicology and histology analyses.

Kimmerling says trauma has been ruled out as a cause of death.

Forensic toxicology tests have been ordered.
