STANFORD, Ill. -- An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday for a woman found in a farm field in rural Stanford on Tuesday night.

The McLean County Coroner says authorities were called to the intersection of 1100 North and 150 East in rural Stanford just before 8 p.m. Tuesday after a farmer said he thought he saw a body while spraying his field.

Officers located the body, which they say appeared to have been in the field for some time.

The victim has not been identified pending notification of family.
