NORMAL, Ill. -- Illinois State University Police are investigating a handwritten note threatening that a bomb would be placed in Schroeder Hall.

The campus issued a safety message on their website. It said the note was found in a bathroom of Schroeder Hall.

Officials say they have not canceled class.

Police will be making periodic sweeps of the building with bomb dogs over the next few days. Access to the building will also be limited to only two entrances and bags will be checked by police.

If anyone sees suspicious activity they are urged to call University Police at (309) 438-8631.
