PEORIA, Ill. -- Despite the light rain, some local residents made it out to the Luthy Botanical Garden this weekend.

Sunday was the last day of the 10th annual Rhapsody in Bloom celebration.

Patrons could cater to their creative side, enjoying art displays, music, and of course, the blooming flowers.

Bob Streitmatter, the garden manager says the rain was a surprise for both the guests and the plants.

"You have no control over it. It rains when it rains," said Streitmatter. "It would be great if it would hold off just a little bit, but we'll take it. I know farmers depend on the rain a lot more than we do."

Rhapsody in Bloom ended Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
